The Project is a 3-blocks of student hostel tower which will be located on a site with an area of approximately 13,150m² at Whitehead, Ma On Shan, in the north of Wu Kai Sha Station in the New Territories. It comprises 2,168 bed places, the planning and design of the Project will aim at adopting an innovative approach in space use and allocation to develop a self-sufficient community to support student learning and living, recreational activities, and campus internationalisation.

A Transfer plate is provided on the podium and allowed the steel MiC modules sitting on it. The Core walls are cast in-situ concrete and MiC modules are connected to the core wall by the embed plate with cast in rebar. Total no. of 11 types Steel MiC modules are used for Hall 1-6 respectively.

The project has adopted advanced construction technology called Modular Integrated Construction (MiC), which involves over 1,300 modules in the overall building complex. It is currently the world’s largest student hostel project to have adopted MiC technology, calculated by the number of bed spaces. In addition to hostel rooms, there will be communal rooms, corridors, toilets and plant rooms constructed using MiC.
