Meinhardt is in JV with another consultant to undertake the feasibility study of Route 11 (Between North Lantau and Yuen Long). It involves establishing possible alignment for Route 11 to support the developments in the Northwest New Territories/North Lantau and cross-boundary activities. Works include the construction of 11.5km dual 3-lane carriageway including Tsing Lung Bridge (suspension bridge), Tai Lam Chung Tunnel and Lam Tei Tunnel.
Traffic engineering design, project coordination and TIA report preparation of the project. Carried out a TIA study using the latest available input assumptions taking into account the latest traffic conditions of the existing road network in the Northwest New Territories (NWNT) and North Lantau and latest land use planning and development proposals; ascertained that the provision of the proposed dual 3-lane Route 11 is sufficient to meet the traffic demand.
