At a Glance
Stage 1 comprises planning, design and construction of a new major acute general hospital with a total planned capacity of around 1,200 nos. of in-patient and day beds, with scope of service:-
(i) A&A works at Staff Quarters Blocks B (Block B) and MCBTC and construction of a new decanting building at SH (SH Decanting Building) for decanting Staff Quarters Blocks A, C, D and E (Block A, C, D & E) and the Nursing School Lecture Theatre (Lecture Theatre).
(ii) Demolition of Block A, C, D & E, and the Lecture Theatre.
(iii) Construction of a new In-patient Extension Block (IP Block). The estimated total net operational floor area (NOFA) is anticipated to be approximately 81,000m² for the new IP Block and approximately 7,000m² for the decanting building in SH. The estimated total Construction Floor Area (CFA) to be renovated in the MCBTC and in Block B is anticipated to be approximately 20,000m² and 20,000m² respectively.
