The project involves the construction of a composite building complex providing academic space of about 10,344m² in NOFA and 1,279 hostel places about 16,781m² NOFA at a slope site in Ho Man Tin. The development is preliminary the provision of additional specialist teaching, general teaching, research, staff, communal facilities as well as additional student hostel places to cater for the corresponding shortfall with an overall NOFA about 27,125m² or 49,310m² CFA. The development comprises of a podium with a 11 storeys composite building with academic space mainly for the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and student hostel at lower and upper level respectively, as well as 18 storeys student hostel block at the western end.

A Transfer plate is provided on the 6/F of South Wing and 8/F of North Wing and allowed the Steel/ Concrete MiC modules sitting on it. The Core walls and part of the floor are cast in-situ concrete and MiC modules are connected to the core wall or other structural elements to form a rigid diaphragm. Total no. of 3 types of Steel / Concrete MiC modules are for tender reference.
