Meinhardt is engaged for the investigation and design of the travellators network linking up the former Kai Tak runway, Kowloon Bay Action Area (KBAA) and Kwun Tong Action Area (KTAA). It enhances the intra-district connectivity and walkability of Kowloon East. This project is divided into two packages, including (1) an elevated walkway of approximately 1.3km long and 6.5m wide with two-way travellators at Wai Yip Street directly linking up the two new business clusters (KBAA and KTAA); and (2) a pedestrian cum cyclist bridge with travellators across Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter linking up the Kwun Tong Promenade and the former runway at Kai Tak. The project includes numerous lift towers and canopy all along the 1.3km footbridge
