Meinhardt is responsible for the design and construction of a long span footbridge over the West Kowloon Expressway with clear span of over 110m connecting to the Housing Site 3. It provides a linkage between Cheung Sha Wan Hoi Ying Estate to Hoi Tat Estate. For the eye catching location and unique feature of the footbridge, special design consultancy was awarded. The project includes detail design in accordance to both local Building and Highways standards, fire engineering study, wind-tunnel test and erection engineering with detailed staged construction.
